Singapore is famous for many things; including the usually-raging, sauna-like weather. Naturally, most of us fill our wardrobes with breathable pieces that would help beat the heat year round.
Still, there are some months with higher rainfall, ushering in cooler temperatures that last a few days (or weeks if we’re lucky). The rain in the last few weeks has resulted in much cooler weather than usual.

You know what that means for fashion lovers? It’s the best time to layer up with sweater weather-friendly pieces, and pretend we’re holidaying in a colder country. The wet weather hasn’t dampened our mood to dress up, and it’s the same for the celebs.
Stylish celebs including Fann Wong and Jeanette Aw as well as streetstyle darlings Yoyo Cao and Andrea Chong are welcoming the rainy season with open arms — and fabulous OOTDs on social media. Here, they show us fun ways to nail our rainy weather outfits.
Yoyo Cao took a walk on the wild side with her impossible-to-miss animal print coat. Her highlighter orange heels lent extra pizazz to her outfit.
A long, flowy maxi dress — such as the Love Bonito checked version on Drea Chong — is always a good idea whether you’re staying in or going out on a rainy day.
Decked in a turtleneck top and heavy coat, Tay Ying got us believing that she’s on a winter holiday.
If the wet weather is putting you in a snuggly mood, you’re not alone. Oon Shu An’s adorable heart print cardigan by Gucci is the perfect piece to look good and feel good.
Jeanette Aw’s paisley design by Etro looks chic and elegant, proving that not all sweaters are designed for lounging in only.
Whether it’s the camouflage print sweater by Coach or the fierce-looking gladiator heels, Sonia Chew’s outfit is telling us she’s not to be messed with.
The neon colours on Lawrence Wong’s workout gear will provide a much-needed mood-lifting and motivating effect for those who are hitting the gym.
Rainy day fashion can look fun without going too over the top. Jayley Woo’s black sequin jacket by Pinko is a great piece that reflects the wearer’s serious and playful sides. It contrasts nicely with her bright nails, too.
For a simple and fuss-free ensemble, turn to Ayden Sng’s clean, minimalist look above. The neutral and earthy tones complement each other naturally.
Our Ah Jie looked chic and cool in a classic black and white getup. And her leopard print brolly is a wet weather must-have, combining style with function.
