The Covid-19 viral pandemic continues to put our vacation plans on the back burner, so we’re not surprised if you’re escaping to the pool, or a hotel with a pool, to feel like lulling in the warm embrace of the Bali or Phuket sunshine. To complete the holiday fantasy, a stylish swimsuit is needed. To get you started, here are some that have been recently launched by luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton and Gucci, as well as our favourite swimsuits worn by celebs such as Karena Ng and Rosina Lam. Scroll down to see!
Hong Kong actress Karena Ng was snapped lounging on a boat while sporting a gorgeous trimmed bikini that shows off her long legs. The asymmetric design is especially unique.
The 24-year-old Taiwanese starlet managed to find time out of her busy schedule for a lazy retreat at Kenting. She showed off her sexiness with a floral ruffled bikini and completed the look with a woven sunhat, sunglasses and a loose lace cardigan.
This halter bikini from Dior accentuates the modelesque stature of Hailey Bieber as she shows off her toned body and summery bronzed skin.
To celebrate the energy of summer, Dior’s swimwear draws on the popular tie-dye trend. It takes the style a step further, with colours ranging from ocean blue to the hues seen on the rainbow. The swimsuit has a V-neckline while the back has a criss-cross design. You can wear it as a swimsuit by the pool, beach or yacht or wear it as a bodysuit and complete it with a skirt or pants and head right out the door.
Yummy mummy Melody Liu wore an all-white swimsuit that came with cute butterfly bows on the shoulders. You can’t tell that she is 41 right?
Hong Kong actress Rosina Lam celebrated her 33rd birthday on a yacht with her husband and friends in tow. The birthday girl wore an all-white bikini to show off her stellar figure.
Irina Shayk wears a two-piece swimsuit from Burberry’s summer capsule collection here, and we’ve got to say — the TB logo monogram looks exceptionally cool on her.
Burberry tapped on top model Kendall Jenner to showcase their new capsule TB Summer Monogram collection. Unlike its usual khaki tones, the collection incorporates striking hues such as dark beige, sky blue, orange and cobalt blue. The usually small TB Monogram is enlarged too to showcase the vivacity of summer.
The one-piece swimsuit came roaring back in vogue in recent years. This plunging number on Jennifer Yu just exudes confidence and sex appeal.
Former South Korean girl group f(x) member Luna sports the Louis Vuitton monogram bikini here. The neutral colour accentuates her figure while the fuchsia blazer adds a touch of strong feminine energy.
The limited-edition LV Escale was released by Louis Vuitton as part of the summer drop. It draws inspiration from Japanese tie-dye to interpret the good times of a beach vacation. The interplay between the blue and white colour palettes add a refreshing touch to the hot weather staples. The one-piece swimsuit is printed with the iconic LV monogram complete with a white trimming while the sporty two-piece set has a higher neckline that shows off your figure in a more unexpected manner.
Not sure how to create a look perfect for both on land and on the sea? Take a leaf from the book of Taiwanese style influencer Molly, who paired her Dior swimsuit with a pair of denim shorts.
Enjoying the summer rays on the grass, Emma Roberts is dressed in a Fendi one-piece while enjoying fried chicken. We love the pink trim that adds colour and interest to the swimsuit.
Following Hermès’ style of understated elegance, their summer swimwear does not feature ostentatious patterns. Whether it is the classic one-piece, bikini or asymmetric designs, the construction is sleek and feminine, suitable for those with a minimalist palette. Bright colourways, however, remind you of summer and result in a beachside look that is neither tacky nor frumpy.
Wearing swimsuits as a regular clothing item has been very popular lately, and Gucci’s summer swimwear line can similarly be accessorised with other apparel to create a smart everyday look. Emblazoned with the Gucci logo across the front, the swimwear with gold print or the classic green and red colourway both carry a vintage vibe. Pair with a big sunhat if you’re going for the full retro look.
