Feeling Dehydrated? The Simple Skin Test You Can Do To Check

While we’re all aware that drinking about 8 glasses of water a day is necessary, the fact of the matter is, life often gets in the way and it makes it difficult for us to remember to put our health first.

So what happens if you’re feeling dehydrated and you’re in need of a proper hydration check? While looking at the colour of your pee is one thing, another great way only takes a few seconds: pinch your skin.

This works best on the skin on your arms. Simply lift the skin a little and watch to see if it snaps back into place immediately. If you’re hydrated, your skin should snap back into place immediately. However, if you’re dehydrated, your skin will take a while to get back into place.

You can also do this to your pets — cats and dogs mainly — to check on their hydration levels.

So, now that you know how to do a simple hydration check, why not shop our edit of the chicest water bottles in the market right now?
