1Preheat oven to moderate, 180 C. Line 2 oven trays with baking paper.
2In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars together until pale. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in vanilla.
3Mix in sifted combined flours and salt and choc chips until well combined.
4Roll ¹/³ cup dough into a ball then press an Oreo in the centre and wrap dough around to enclose. Flatten slightly, then place on oven trays 5 cm apart.
5Bake 15 to 20 mins until golden. Cool on trays 5 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
