Christmas Reindeer Brownies

Full of milk and white chocolate chunks and decorated with pretzels and more chocolate, the little ones will be obsessed with these sweet festive treats!

Prep: 15 mins  Marinate: 10 mins  Cook: 30 mins

  • Yields: 8 Reindeer

Ingredients

200 g dark chocolate, chopped

125 g butter

½ cup caster sugar

2 eggs, whisked

1¼ cups plain flour, sifted

100 g white chocolate, chopped

200 g milk chocolate, chopped

16 pretzels

16 white chocolate melts

8 red M&Ms (or a similar round, red ingredient for the nose)

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180 C. Line base and sides of a deep 20-cm round cake pan.

2In a medium saucepan heat dark chocolate and butter on low, stirring until smooth. Stir in sugar. Cool slightly, then stir in eggs.

3Fold flour, white chocolate and half the milk chocolate through.

4Pour into pan. Bake for 30-35 mins until firm and a skewer comes out clean. Cool. Slice into 8 wedges.

5In a microwave-safe bowl, melt remaining milk chocolate in 15-second bursts, stirring after each until melted. Transfer to a small sealed bag and trim a small edge from one corner.

6Using a small sharp knife gently cut the base of pretzels to fit on edge of brownies. Use a little melted milk chocolate to attach pretzels to form antlers as shown.

7Use a little melted chocolate to attach white chocolate melts to form eyes. Pipe on pupils. Attach M&M for a nose.
