Crackle & Pop Chocolate Broomsticks

These chocolate snacks in the shape of a witch's broom is so fun to display – get creative with plastic spiders around them.

6 chocolate sticks, halved

150 g milk chocolate, chopped, plus extra 50 g extra, melted

2 tbsps green sprinkles

10 white marshmallows

¼ cup cream

2 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies

142 g packet rainbow Nerds

12 medium (¼ cup) cupcake cases


1Dip one end of stick into extra melted chocolate, then sprinkles, to coat. Leave to set.

2Meanwhile, in a medium heatproof bowl combine chocolate, marshmallows and cream. Place over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring 4 to 5 mins, until smooth. Cool 10 mins.

3Mix Rice Krispies and Nerds through chocolate mixture.

4Stack cupcake cases together. Turn over and use a sharp knife to cut a small cross through bases. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Separate cases, arrange on tray. Spoon Rice Krispies mixture evenly between each case. Turn upside down on tray.

5Push plain end of wafer stick through cross in base of each filled case and into the mixture. Allow to set.
