Savoury, earthy flavours of this mushroom sauce are accompanied by generous chunks of button mushrooms that make a divine pairing with your steak, chicken chop or even a scoop of clumpy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- 40 g butter
- 400 g halved button mushrooms
- 1 crushed clove garlic
- ¾ cup beef stock
- ¾ cup pouring cream
- 2 tbsps chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Steps

Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat; cook mushrooms, stirring, until browned. Add garlic; stir for 1 min.

Stir in beef stock and cream; simmer until thickened slightly.

Stir in parsley. Serve with steak.
