With how crispy and luscious these apple pie rolls are, it’s almost like they’re made exactly for the air fryer. Here’s the chance to try a dessert recipe that’s speedy and fun at the same time.
Ingredients
- 400 g can pie apple slices, chopped
- ¼ cup (40 g) sultanas
- 1½ tbsps caster sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1½ tbsps almond meal
- 8 x 21.5 cm frozen spring roll wrappers, thawed
- Olive oil cooking spray
- Icing sugar, to serve
- Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Steps
Combine apple, sultanas, sugar, cinnamon and almond meal in a medium bowl.
Place a spring roll wrapper on a clean work surface. Place 2 level tbsps of filling one-third up from the bottom edge in a line, leaving a 4 cm border on each side. Fold bottom of wrapper over filling once, fold in the sides, then roll up to enclose filling; brush the join with a little water to seal. Repeat with remaining spring roll wrappers and filling.
Preheat air fryer to 200 C for 3 mins.
Spray rolls generously all over with cooking spray. Taking care, place rolls in the air fryer basket, cook for 15 mins until rolls are golden brown.
Dust rolls with icing sugar and serve with vanilla ice-cream.
TIP You can find spring roll wrappers in the freezer section of the supermarket.
