These air fryer Nutella turnovers are as easy as they sound. Requiring no more than four ingredients, simply spoon Nutella and chopped hazelnuts into cuts of frozen puff pastry, and let the magic happen in your trusty air fryer. You might just find eating and preparing these dangerously addictive!
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
- ½ cup (165 g) Nutella
- ½ cup (60 g) finely chopped roasted hazelnuts
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
Preheat a 7 litre air fryer to 200 C for 3 mins.
Cut each pastry sheet into nine 8 cm squares. Spoon 1½ tsps of Nutella and 1 tsp of hazelnuts onto the centre of each square. Brush edges of pastry with a little egg. Fold pastry over to form a triangle and enclose filling. Using a fork, press edges together to seal.
Taking care, place half the turnovers in the air fryer basket; at 200 C, cook for 8 mins until pastry is golden and cooked. Transfer to a wire rack. Repeat cooking with remaining turnovers.
Serve turnovers warm.
TIP Allow turnovers to cool slightly before eating so you don’t scorch your mouth.
