Classic Italian cuisine takes a sweet turn with the inclusions of banana and chocolate – an unlikely but wonderful pairing. Increase decadence by drizzling with warm hazelnut spread and sprinkling with flaked almonds.
- ½ cup (40 g) flaked almonds
- ⅓ cup (50 g) plain flour
- 30 g butter, melted
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
BANANA & CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT PIZZA
- 2 22 cm round pizza bases (340g)
- Cooking oil spray
- 2 medium bananas, sliced thinly
- ⅓ cup (110 g) chocolate-hazelnut spread, warmed
Preheat oven to 240 C. Oil 2 oven or pizza trays; place in heated oven.
Place pizza bases on trays, spray with cooking oil; top with banana, sprinkle with crumble.
Bake pizzas about 10 mins or until bases are browned and crisp. Drizzle with warmed spread.
