Sink your teeth into classic chocolate fudge brownies with crisp tops that crumble and give way to oozing chocolate fudge centres.
- 125 g butter
- 200 g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup (220 g) firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (150 g) plain flour
Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease a deep 20 cm square cake pan; line base with baking paper.
Place butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan; stir over low heat until almost smooth. Remove from heat; cool 10 mins.
Stir sugar and eggs into chocolate mixture, then add sifted flour.
Spread mixture into pan. Bake for 30 mins or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out with moist crumbs. Cool in pan before cutting into squares.
