Nothing’s as healthy and fuss-free as a smoothie one can grab and go on busy mornings. This one includes appetising yoghurt and mango, coupled with the crunch of ground almonds and a surprising zing of lime. It’s the perfect go-to if you’re working towards increasing your intake of calcium, magnesium and vitamins!
- 1 mango (600 g), chopped coarsely
- ¼ cup (30 g) ground almonds
- 1 cup (250 ml) skim milk
- ½ cup (140 g) low-fat plain yoghurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey ice cubes, to serve
Blend or process mango, ground almonds, milk, yoghurt, vanilla, juice and half the honey until smooth.
Place ice into tall glasses; pour mango mixture over ice. Drizzle with remaining honey and sprinkle with grated lime rind, if you like.
