Change up your breakfast eats and have some savoury muffins. This recipe that calls for the classic bacon and cheese combination makes a satisfying breakfast and a hearty snack. Also, these are easy enough to make with your kids. The muffins are also easy to pack and makes a great on-the-go snack too.

  • 250-300 g Pan Fried Bacon
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil

Preheat oven to 200 C. Coat 12 muffin cups with cooking spray.


Mix flour, Cheddar cheese, baking powder, garlic salt, and black pepper together in a large bowl.


Beat eggs, milk, and vegetable oil together in a small bowl; stir into flour mixture just until moistened.


Gently fold bacon through the batter. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.


Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.
