A local family favourite snack and street food, muar chee is simply cooked glutinous rice balls coated with crushed peanuts, ground sesame seeds and sugar.
- 250 g glutinous rice flour
- 375 ml water
- 1 tbsp shallot oil
- 60 g fine sugar
- 150 g ground peanut
- Some roasted sesame seeds, blended
Mix together glutinous rice flour, water and shallot oil, and place in bread pan.
With 10 mins left, stir dough with wooden chopstick.
When about to serve, mix together sugar, ground peanut and blended sesame seeds.
Once dough is ready, cut into bite-sized pieces and coat with peanut mixture.
