Oh, my goodness. Oh, my very goodness. This homemade Irish creme liqueur makes a wonderful and unique Christmas gift. But be warned, you may not want to give it away.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee granules
  • 1 tbsp boiling water
  • 1 1/2 tbsps chocolate flavoured topping
  • 350 ml irish whiskey
  • 1 3/4 cups (460 ml) cream
  • 395 g can condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp coconut essence

Dissolve coffee in the water in a large jug, stir in topping.

Whisk in remaining ingredients. Strain mixture into cooled sterilised bottles, seal immediately.

Store liqueur in refrigerator for up to 6 months.
