Irish Crème Liqueur

Oh, my goodness. Oh, my very goodness. This homemade Irish creme liqueur makes a wonderful and unique Christmas gift. But be warned, you may not want to give it away.


1 tbsp instant coffee granules

1 tbsp boiling water

1 1/2 tbsps chocolate flavoured topping

350 ml irish whiskey

1 3/4 cups (460 ml) cream

395 g can condensed milk

1 egg

1 tsp coconut essence


1Dissolve coffee in the water in a large jug, stir in topping.

2Whisk in remaining ingredients. Strain mixture into cooled sterilised bottles, seal immediately.

3Store liqueur in refrigerator for up to 6 months.
