Banana bread is rich on its own, but add on chocolate and you’ll find it even more indulgent than before. This is an easy way to give the humble loaf a little more oomph while making two strong tastes complement each other. The best part? It’s a way to not let your overripe bananas and old chocolates go to waste!

Ingredients

WHIPPED NUT BUTTER

Steps

01.

Preheat oven 180 C. Grease 14 cm x 21 cm loaf pan. Line base and long sides with baking paper.

02.

Combine banana and sugar in large bowl and stir in eggs, oil and milk. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.

03.

Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour. Stand bread in pan 5 mins; turn onto wire rack to cool.

04.

WHIPPED NUT BUTTER Beat butter in a small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy, then stir in nuts.

05.

Serve bread warm with whipped nut butter.

You need about two large overripe bananas (460 g) for this recipe.
