Every day is salsa day, especially when you have some homemade salsa on hand.

Eating salsa is not limited to using it as a condiment with potato or tortilla chips.

You can add it over steamed, grilled or fried fish. Use it in place of salad dressing, and add it over your burger patty. Add it into a bowl of scrambled eggs or grilled cheese toast, or even on top of your baked potato.

There are many variations of tomato salsa. This recipe makes a classic salsa with just tomatoes and onions.

Make a batch of this homemade salsa and keep this zesty condiment handy for uninspiring mealtimes.

You can also easily jazz up fresh tomato salsa for different flavours. Ideas: Just throw in chopped pineapple or add some hot sauce for a spicy edge!
