Bored of just regular porridge for breakfast? Top it up with some delicious homemade apple butter instead!

Ingredients

APPLE BUTTER Peel, core and chop apples; combine sugar, cinnamon, rind and juice in a pan. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved; simmer covered, over low heat, for about 15 mins, or until apples are soft. Mash apples until smooth; add butter. Stir over heat until mixture thickens; cool slightly.

Combine Nutremill Original Cereal and hot water in a large bowl. Stir until liquid is absorbed and mixture is thick.

Serve porridge with milk and topped with Apple Butter and whipped cream, if liked.

04.

Drizzle with maple syrup, and decorate with cinnamon sticks and dried apple ring slices.
