Boil spaghetti noodles in a pot of boiling water. Remember to salt the water first.
Once the spaghetti noodles are cooked, set aside. Save a cup of the boiled pasta water for later.
Over medium heat, fry onions and garlic.
When fragrant, toss in canned sardines, including the sauce.
Once the sardine sauce starts simmering, throw in the chilli paste. Start breaking up the sardine into flakes with a spatula.
Add sweet soy sauce, chillies, and a drizzle of the pasta water.
Toss spaghetti noodles in.
Combine, salt to taste, and serve.
