Wedding cakes are usually on the larger side when it comes to the baking world with layers of layers of decadent cakes, rich fondant and sweet icing sometimes coming up to half a meter in height.
We could spend hours scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest staring in wonder at the incredible creations of some bakers.
However, this jaw-dropping feed may take the cake (pun intended).
Rachel Dyke, also known as @rachelslittlethings on Instagram, specialises in tiny wedding cakes. And we mean tiny, with each coming in at around seven small centimetres.

The California-based artist isn’t messing around with one-tier layer cakes, either. Each of her designs is a gorgeous multi-layered creation so beautifully detailed it can take up to 12 full hours to make.
She even goes so far as to dab the cakes with oils to make them smell like the real thing.

Dyke has so far immortalised everything from celebrity wedding cakes and Katherine Sabbath sensations to lifelike cascades of roses and stunning geode cakes.
In fact, they’re so well-designed, even spotting them among their real-life counterparts would be impossible if not for their tiny size!

There is one slight downside to Dyke’s designs, though; they’re not edible.
All her creations are sculpted from polymer clay, which, while it is non-toxic, no one needs that added drama on their wedding day.

Even though they are not edible, we still consider Dyke’s creations to be food art to be admired and appreciated.
