Homegrown bakery PrimaDeli has just released their new cheese tart creations for only just a couple of weeks, but they are already garnering devoted fans. These sell out super fast so go early or place reservations if you want them. The tarts are really flavourful and having just one is not enough. Our favourite is no doubt the Salted Yolk Lava Cheese Tart which combines two of the hottest food trends at the moment.

Following on the success of their artisanal croissants, Antoinette is pushing out their cheese tarts – there are five flavours to choose from: Vanilla, matcha, chocolate, salted caramel, and of course, salted yolk. The chocolate is surprisingly yummy, as the French Grand Cru chocolate blended well with the cheese to create an interesting taste that is pleasing. But the less adventurous will likely prefer either the vanilla or the salted yolk, which are both excellent.

Watch out also for BAKE Cheese Tart coming to town soon at ION Orchard. Hailing from Hokkaido, their cheese tarts are famous back in Japan, so you can expect them to be very popular (we are guessing there will be long queues) when they open. Fragrant and tantalising, it’s best to enjoy the tarts warm and just fresh out of the oven.

At The Icing Room, they have launched some great cheese tarts, and at attractive prices too ($2 for one, buy three to get one free). The Original and Golden Lava are both tasty, but it’s the Tiramisu Cheese Tart which got our attention as it’s pretty unusual. Tiramisu purists might dismiss it as gimmicky but we thought the fusion turned out well. Try it if you have a chance.
