If dining out at a crowded restaurant isn’t his sort of thing, there’s nothing like a homecooked meal to put a smile on a Dad’s face this Father’s Day. Try these easy teriyaki steak pinwheels that the kids can help with, and that he’ll enjoy if he’s a steak lover.
Flattened-out flank steak is the best for this because it can easily be stuffed and rolled into pinwheels. We used four flank “minute” steaks to show that you can also join smaller pieces into one roll-up.
Use this recipe as a guide and use fillings Dad prefers. The classic steak pinwheel features cheese and spinach.
For an extra side to make it a meal, we’ve added a potato salad that’s a light and refreshing alternative to roast potatoes. This can be served warm and cold, and makes for a fab accompaniment to grilled or barbequed meats.
