We're mid-way through the month and pay day is coming up real soon in two weeks' time. Before you start splurging on skincare and makeup products that you potentially do not need (and may very likely leave on your bathroom shelf to dry up and expire), take some time to check out seven of the latest hair, skincare, and makeup products that launched in the first two weeks of April.

First up, we have the new gel-cream moisturiser called the Moisture Surge 100-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator ($47 for 30ml) from Clinique. The lightweight formula contains key ingredients in the likes of Aloe Vera Bio-Ferment and Hyaluronic Acid to provide your skin with hydration that reportedly penetrates your skin over ten layers deep (!), leaving your skin hydrated for 100 hours.

Next, we have the launch of a brand new skincare range in Singapore – Nudeskin. If the name sounds vaguely familiar, you've probably got it right. Nudeskin is the skincare sibling of the makeup brand, Nudestix, which you. might know for their crayon stick eyeshadows, blushes, and foundation.

And following closely in the footsteps of their makeup philosophy, Nudeskin's skincare philosophy is minimal, gender neutral, multi-tasking, all-natural, and easy-peasy. We're also thrilled to know that all of Nudeskin's skincare products are made with botanicals, making it vegan and animal cruelty-free. Here, you will find a Nudeskin three-step skin renewal starter set ($37).

Here's another multi-tasking product – the new M.A.C Love Me Liquid Lipcolour ($39) that's fronted by Lisa from K-pop girl group, Blackpink. This lliquid lipstick comes with conditioning oils such as argan oil and shea butter, M.A.C's very own ColourCling Technology, and a long-lasting 12-hour wear.

It reportedly does not bleed, feather, fade or flake, is durable, and lightweight so you can wear it from day to night. Finally, this new lip colour comes in 20 shades of reds, burnt oranges, luxurious purples and flattering pinks and nudes.

This month, the French skincare brand Clarins launched a spanking new skincare line for sensitive skin called the Calm Essentiel. There are three products in this range – Clarins Calm-Essentiel Redness Corrective Gel ($64), Restoring Treatment Oil ($95), and Soothing Emulsion ($89)

It reportedly took Clarins Laboratories, research institutes, and scientists three years to research, understand, and formulate this range for hypersensitive skin.

They key ingredient of this range is the Clary Sage which soothes and alleviates sensitive skin. Also, can we just add that the white, peach, and rose gold packaging is just gorgeous?

There's a new hair dye in town and it's from the cult-loved South Korean haircare brand, mise-en-scène. Aptly called the Hello Bubble Foam Color ($18.90 per box, includes primer), this hair dye comes in a cute bottle which dispenses marshmallow foam for even and easy application.

The hair dye formula contains ingredients such as lavender and Madonna lily extract to protect and moisturise your scalp, comes in 15 different shades, is optimised for Asian hair, does not contain ammonia, and actually smells floral and nice.

Drunk Elephant

Finally, here's one from Drunk Elephant – the new Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum ($116).

This serum is basically a mega-strength formula suitable for both morning and night use. It contains some of the strongest peptides, plant-derived growth factors, amino acids, along with some whooping 10 per cent (your usual products have less than one per cent) exfoliating lactic acid.

So, what does it do? It helps to even out and brighten a dull, uneven complexion, and improves fine lines, sun damage, along with tightening enlarged pores.

Sounds like it's quite a multi-tasking, all-rounded product? We think so too. At that price, we'll be expecting a lot from the formula!
