“Firstly, the Synchro Skin Glow Cushion is super easy to use and great for beginners. It has a natural finish and light to medium coverage. I would also recommend the Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush as it is really longlasting and does not wear off easily even in humid climates like Singapore.

Thirdly, the Aura Dew. It is a multi-tasking product, which you can use on different parts of your face and body such as your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, chin, cupid’s bow and even your shoulders. The Visionary Gel Lipstick also gets my vote as I really love how hydrating it is even though it has a matte texture. It’s really pigmented too. Lastly, I would pick the Essentialist Eye Palette. It has four different colours with different finishes from mattes to shimmers. It is great for beginners.”

Tip #1

When applying loose powder to set your base makeup, use a puff on areas that tend to be more oily like your T-zone. On areas that are less oily, use a brush to dab gently and lightly instead of sweeping it across your face.

Tip #2

We love intense eyeshadow shades and to obtain great colour payoff, use a flat brush and gently tap the product in — instead of sweeping it across your eyelids.

Tip #3

Clumps on our lashes are a huge no-go, so to prevent that from happening, apply your mascara in zig-zag motions (it’s the same for your lower lashes too) before brushing it upwards for maximum volume.

Tip #4

To ensure your lashes remain voluminous and lengthy, curl them once more after applying mascara. Do make sure that they’ve dried before doing so.

Tip #5

When using cream blushers, always set it with loose powder so that it doesn’t budge or smudge.
