1. What are the Child LifeSG Credits?
These Child LifeSG Credits (CLC) are one-off credits disbursed by the government as part of the SG60 Budget announced earlier this year. These are credits for Singapore Citizen (SC) children born between the years 2013 and 2025 which can be used to defray household expenses at all merchants across Singapore that accept payments via PayNow UEN QR code or NETS QR code.
2. When will I get my child’s LifeSG Credits? How much will they receive?
All SC children born between 2013 and 2024 will receive $500 in LifeSG credits in the week of 7 July 2025. SC children born in the year 2025 will receive their $500 credits in April 2026.
You will receive an SMS notification once your child’s LifeSG Credits have been credited into your digital LifeSG wallet.
No application is required; the credits will be automatically disbursed to your child’s digital LifeSG wallet.
3. How can I access the Child LifeSG credits?

You can access their credits through your LifeSG mobile app, if they are registered as your CDA trustee. Download the LifeSG mobile app here if you don’t already have it on your phone.
Once you have the app, follow the following steps to access their credits:
- Login via SingPass
- Scroll to “Your Benefits” module
- Tap on the “View all credits” button
- Select the “Child LifeSG Credits” module, you’ll be able to see your child’s credits here
If you don’t see your child on your app, your child is probably registered as a CDA trustee with your spouse — so get him or her to log into their LifeSG app and check.
4. Why hasn’t my child received their LifeSG credits yet? What should I do if they are eligible to receive them but haven’t received them yet?
All SC children born between 2013 and 2024 will receive their credits by the week of July 7. Children born in 2025 will receive their credits in April 2026.
If your child is eligible for the credits but have yet to receive them, you should check their CDA trustee information via the Baby Bonus website, under the “View Child Cash Gift/CDA Details & Update Other Details” section, and then “View Statement and Trustee Information”.
Also, to receive the credits, you must have a Singpass-eligible ID, which is your Singapore IC number or FIN number. If you don’t have a Singpass-eligible ID, the credits will be disbursed to the child’s mother or father instead. So if you aren’t able to receive the credits, you may want to check with your spouse or the child’s birth parents if they have received the credits.
5. What about my older children born 2012 and before?
Singapore Citizen children born in the year 2012 and before will not receive LifeSG credits.
Instead, students aged 13 to 16 in 2025 (born between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2012) will receive a top up of $500 to their Edusave account, while students aged 17 to 20 in 2025 (born between 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2008) will receive a top up of $500 to their Post-Secondary Education Account in July 2025.
6. Where can I use their Child LifeSG credits? How do I use them?
These credits can be used anywhere that accepts payment via PayNow UEN QR code or NETS QR code, including online merchants and shopping platforms like Shopee. They can be used to offset household expenses including but not limited to groceries, utilities, transport, pharmacy items, and even enrichment classes.

Follow these steps to use your child’s CLC:
- Login via Singpass
- Scroll to “Your Benefits” module
- Tap on the “View all credits” button
- Select the “Child LifeSG Credits” module
- Tap on the “Scan QR code to pay” button to scan the merchant’s QR code
- Enter the amount you want to pay into the field and slide to confirm payment
- Your remaining balance will be visible on the screen after the transaction goes through
7. Will the Child LifeSG Credits expire?
Yes, these credits have a validity of 12 months and will expire one year from when they were credited into your LifeSG account.
You can check the expiry of your credits on the LifeSG mobile app, under the “My Benefits” module.
8. Can the Child LifeSG Credits be used at online stores like Shopee?
Yes, the LifeSG credits may be used at all online stores that accept payment via PayNow UEN QR code or NETS QR code.
This includes stores like Shopee. There’s no restriction on what you can purchase with your credits — just remember to select “PayNow” as your mode of payment when you’re checking out your Shopee cart and you’re good to spend!
9. Can the Child LifeSG Credits be withdrawn in cash? How can I do so?
While this is not officially endorsed or even necessary since many merchants in Singapore accept payment via PayNow UEN QR code or NETS QR code, Singaporeans have found an ingenious way to redeem the LifeSG credits in cash.

- Enter the amount of LifeSG credits you want to withdraw as cash (up to $500 per child)
- Tap on “Generate QR Code”

- Tap on the “Transfer” icon, then the “Withdraw to Own Account” tab
- Enter the amount you want to transfer out in cash
- Select your preferred transfer method
- Head over to your bank account and check that the transfer is successful
And that’s it! You’ve successfully redeemed your child’s LifeSG credits in cash!
10. Can I get more Child LifeSG Credits?
Not at this point, unless you have a baby due later this year in 2025!
However, if you have three or more SC children aged between 1 and 6 in 2025, they are eligible for yearly Large Family LifeSG credits of $1,000 until the year they turn 6! This is applicable to each child, so if you have three children or more between the ages of 1 and 6, you’ll receive 3 x $1,000 in Large Family LifeSG credits yearly until the year they turn 6.
