By The Weekly team -
Looking for something useful to do with the family this weekend? You might want to head down to SPH Media’s The Health & Wellness Bazaar 2026, happening at Suntec City Atrium on 29 and 30 August 2026.
The free two-day event brings together health talks, cooking demonstrations, fitness sessions, wellness brands and on-site perks — with topics that span different stages of family life.
So whether you’re trying to figure out what to feed a picky child, keeping a closer eye on your ageing parents’ health or simply trying to take better care of yourself, here are some highlights worth checking out.
For parents: get help on picky eating
If you’ve ever worried that your child isn’t eating enough, wondered whether they can really survive on the same few foods or found yourself negotiating over mouthful of food, this session is worth showing up for.
On Sunday, 30 August, from 2.35pm to 3.20pm, join The Singapore Women’s Weekly editor-in-chief Estelle Low, accredited dietitian Jaclyn Reutens and Nina Yusman, global lead for health strategy and PR at Zespri International, for a Too Tired Mums live chat on Why Won’t My Child Just Eat?
The conversation tackles picky eating among children — a concern for one in two parents in Singapore.
Got a picky-eating question or frustration to share? Register your interest for a front-row seat here.
If food is top of mind for your family, there’s more to catch on Sunday too. From 12.50pm to 1.35pm, accredited dietitian Derrick Ong and culinary trainer and private chef Jonathan Wee will present Heart-Smart Recipe For Vitality, followed by a healthy cooking session with Chef Heman from 1.45pm to 2.30pm.
Come for some practical food inspiration, and leave with less anxiety about what’s happening at the dinner table.
For ageing parents: learn more about health Issues
For many of us, family health increasingly means looking in two directions: at our children growing up, and at our parents growing older.
If you’ve started paying closer attention to mum and dad’s aches, eyesight or general health, several sessions across the weekend would be especially relevant.
On Saturday, 29 August, from 12.50pm to 1.35pm, senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon Dr Zachary Chua presents Don’t Embrace The Aches: Spotting Musculoskeletal Issues For Graceful Aging, focusing on musculoskeletal health as we grow older.
On Sunday, 30 August, from 4pm to 4.45pm, family physician Dr Niccol Lee Zhi Kang will speak on Not Just A Rash Or Flu: What Older Adults Should Know About Shingles And RSV.
That’s followed by Preserving Vision: A Guide To Common Age-Related Eye Conditions from 4.50pm to 5.35pm, presented by consultant ophthalmologist and retina specialist A/Prof Kelvin Teo Yi Chong.
Even if your parents aren’t experiencing these issues now, knowing what to look out for can help you have more informed conversations about their health.
For you: eat better, move more, stay connected
In the midst of juggling family life, work life and whatnot, don’t forget to care for yourself.
On Saturday, 29 August, from 12pm to 12.45pm, relationship counsellor Dr Martha joins Kiss92 DJs Angelique Teo and Tim Oh for Relationship Reset: Staying Connected In A Busy Life.
Later that afternoon from 4.20pm to 5.05pm, Ng Pui Kuan, scientific communication manager at Blackmores Institute presents Nourishing Your Body And Staying Active.
And if you’re ready to get moving, join the live fitness sessions.
Anytime Fitness instructor Amanda leads Shadow Boxing on Saturday from 5.40pm to 6.30pm, while instructor Noshin takes participants through Low Intensity Strength & Conditioning on Sunday from 5.40pm to 6.30pm.
Whether wellness for you means eating better, getting stronger or making a little more space for your relationship, pick something that speaks to what you need right now.
For a bit of fun: deals, goodie bags and prizes
Of course, drop by The Health & Wellness Bazaar 2026 for the perks too.
There’ll be health and wellness booths to explore, event deals and a Sure-Win Spin & Win for visitors who spend $80 or more, with prizes worth up to $50.
You might also want to time your visit.
Goodie bags worth more than $90 will be given out to the first 250 visitors at 11am and 4pm each day, on a first-come, first-served basis.
SPH radio personalities will take the stage across the weekend, including a 96.3 HAO FM Sing-a-long on Saturday from 2.45pm to 4.15pm, and UFM100.3 DJs Cheng Yao and Jia Yi on Sunday from 12pm to 12.45pm.
So you can catch a health session that interests you, browse the booths, watch a cooking demo or workout — and simply enjoy a day out.
