The owner of this 3+1 walk-up apartment in Bedok had one theme in mind when he commissioned Three-D Conceptwerke to renovate his home: a raw, back-to-basics look that was as far from the typical glossy show flat design as it could get.

Custom Wood Door

Interior designer Dess Chew customised the 70kg solid wood and steel main door that opens into this earthy home.

Accordion Style Windows

An accordion-style window closes the open-concept kitchen off from the living area when needed.

Vintage Pendant Lights from London

Dess specially sourced these pendant lights in London to complement the vintage, casual vibe of this home.

Indoor Potted Plants

The careful placement of frangipanis, money plants and low-maintenance potted greens brings the outdoors into the living room and even the bathroom.

Concrete Screed Walls

Dess also stripped off the plastered finish of most of the walls, replacing them with concrete screed for a tactile effect.

Bathroom

Potted plants and a wood-decked floor were added to the all-white bathroom for a simple yet spa-inspired bath.
