You Deserve This: IWD, Health & Parenting Events To Check Out In March 2026
You show up for everyone else — every day. This March, let International Women’s Day be your reminder to show up for yourself too
By Balvinder Sandhu & Estelle Low -
March has a way of filling up fast.
Between work, caregiving, family logistics (hello, March holidays) and the invisible mental load we carry, most mums move from one task to the next without asking: When was the last time I did something just for myself?
That’s why International Women’s Day (8 March) feels especially timely.
No, you don’t need a designated date to prioritise your health, your strength or your voice. But if 8 March gives you the nudge to finally book that health screening, attend that empowering talk, try a new workout or show up for a conversation that matters — we’ll take it.
From IWD-themed events that celebrate women’s strength and agency, to practical health forums (think mammograms, pap tests and oral health), and parenting workshops that support you from pregnancy to the primary school years, March 2026 is packed with ways to invest in yourself and your family.
Consider this your gentle reminder: self-care isn’t selfish. It’s maintenance. It’s prevention. It’s modelling to our children what it means to value ourselves. When we take ourselves seriously, our children learn to do the same.
And there are plenty of meaningful (and even fun) ways to do exactly that.
Here’s what’s happening.
