Goodwood Park Hotel's award-winning restaurant brand Min Jiang, which has two restaurants, is back with tempting treats for a new year spread with your loved ones.

Renowned Cantonese restaurant Hua Ting, led by Hong Kong master chef Chung Lap Fai, is a reliable go-to for refined dishes with authentic flavours. For the new year, its Fortune Pen Cai (from $490.50 for five persons) is a festive favourite with ingredients like eight-head abalone, Japanese spiky sea cucumber, roast duck and fish maw, the Crispy Golden Suckling Pig ($542.82) delivers thin crackling skin. Hey Kee rolls out Chinese New Year takeaway sets (from $498 for four to six pax) featuring crowd-pleasing classics such as Abalone Yu Sheng, Prosperity Pen Chai, Steamed Spring Chicken with Aged Chinese Wine, and fragrant Lotus Leaf Rice with Eight Treasures. Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel
You can count on consistently good Chinese food from the award-winning Wan Hao Chinese restaurant. For the festive occasion, it's dishing up the Wan Hao Imperial Pot of Prosperity ($588 nett, serves 5 persons; $1,088nett, serves 10 persons), a traditional pen cai packed with collagen and rich nutrients. Think three-head Australian abalone, premium conpoy, sea cucumber, crispy ‘Sha-jing’ oyster, goose feet and marinated Chinese wine free-range chicken.
It has a repertoire of other CNY dishes to satisfy hungry bellies too, like the Tea Smoked Grain-Fed Duck (from $78 nett, half) that’s marinated and air-dried for a crisp, glossy skin, and the Farm-Raised Poached Chicken with Spices, ‘Long Jing’ Tea Vinegar, Pomelo and Sesame (from $45 nett, half), simmered in spice-infused water and gently poached for a tender texture. It’s then shredded and served alongside a chilled ‘Long Jing’ tea vinegar sauce for a refreshing dish.

No need to stress over reunion dinner — Soup Restaurant’s Reunion Takeaway Set ($388 for five pax, U.P. $485) comes with a quartet of dishes that’ll have everyone satisfied. Your feast starts with the Baby Abalone with Crispy Yam and Longan Yu Sheng, with a generous portion of baby abalone and refreshing pops from the longans. The sauce is on the sweet side, so go easy if you prefer it less sweet.
The new Braised Abalone Seafood Pot with Dried Oysters is a feast on its own with abalone, sea cucumber, meaty prawns, dried oysters, roast pork, and more, all bathed in a thick, savoury abalone and dried oyster broth. Another worthy mention: the Traditional Steamed Rice with Chinese sausage, mushrooms and chestnuts hits the spot with sweet-savoury flavours. Bring Japanese-Szechuan flavours to your reunion dinner table with Chen’s Kitchen’s festive set menus. The four-time Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed restaurant is marking the occasion with themed set menus — Blissful and Blossom — available in four-, six-, and eight-person options (from $288 to $628).
