Cafe-hopping is many Singaporeans' favourite pastimes, but the sheer variety of cafes out there can make picking your next brunch spot a tough choice. Nothing sounds better than spending a slow weekend with a good cup of coffee and your favourite scrambled eggs or pancakes. Here are nine cafes across the island that serve excellent brunches and makes for a great Instagram post.
Nestled in the bustling district of Tanjong Pagar, The Populus Cafe on Neil Road is known for its brilliant coffees and their Signature Populus Scramble – soft creamy scrambled eggs, fresh herb melange, marinated feta cheese and crispy back bacon on a toasted butter croissant – perfect for a Sunday brunch.

Situated in the heartland of Punggol, Whisk & Paddle is one of the best places to chill and take a breather while taking in the spectacular view. And here's the added bonus — there are several plant nurseries within walking distance, which is just perfect for a post-brunch stroll!

This cafe is located along Marina Bay, with beautiful views of the Singapore Flyer and river. You can watch dragon boats or kayaks busy up and down the river as you tuck into their weekend brunch spread.

Most of us would be familiar with the PS. Cafe franchise. Their East Coast Park branch is a great spot to idle away at on a lazy Sunday morning — we highly recommend ordering a portion of their signature PS. Truffle Shoestring Fries to munch on while people-watching.

Toa Payoh is famous for its One Michelin Star Carrot Cake, but if you’re in the mood for something more bougie, there’s always waffles and ice cream at Creamier. Their signature Sea Salt Gula Melaka ice-cream is the perfect marriage of Western and local flavours.

Weekends are made better with hearty food, a fragrant cuppa, and good company at Lola’s Cafe in the Hougang. Their Honey Paprika Crispy Wings and Pulled Pork and Avocado Eggs Benedict make for a perfect, scrumptious brunch.

Columbus Coffee Co is an excellent spot at Upper Thomson to wine and dine on a lazy Sunday afternoon. They are known for their speciality cold brew, and they serve an excellent Butterscotch Banana Pancake as well.

Cafe De Nicole's Flower in Telok Kurau is a cute brunch spot that is not just picture-perfect but serves up a good breakfast and has an in-house florist too. If you are in the East and thinking of a cup of coffee, their iced mocha is highly recommended.
