#Savefnbsg: Jay Chou's Fave Bak Kut Teh Stall In S'pore Might Close

Founder Bak Kut Teh is known for its garlicky, peppery, pork rib broth and its late-night opening hours. It counts many celebrities as loyal patrons, including Mandopop star Jay Chou, who made headlines when he dropped by for his favourite bak kut teh in Singapore last year when he was in town. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the business really badly, and the famous restaurant might have to close down if business continues to dip.

Nigel Chua, the son of the owner of Founder Bak Kut Teh took to Instagram, pleading for customers to support the 42-year-old family business. "We will shut down our 42-year-old brand in the next two months if we do not turn around," he writes. Read his letter below.
