13 Fab Happy Hour Drink Promos In Singapore We're Toasting To
Double the fun when it's a fraction of the price
By Geralyne Ong and Kendra Tan -
Let’s be honest, alcohol is not cheap — and that's why we should always look out for happy hour drink promotions in Singapore. The main reason for high prices? Singapore’s alcohol tax ($88 per litre for hard liquors and wines, $60 per litre for beers and ciders) that is charged on top of the 9% GST.
If you're looking to drink on a budget, we've got you covered. Here are 13 bars and restaurants with the best happy hour drink promotions in Singapore. Cheers to that!
For the most part, stores with alcohol licenses cease sales by 10.30pm. Meanwhile, most bars and restaurants can proceed with alcohol consumption and business as usual until closing.
Updated as of 22 October 2024. Best happy hour drink promotions are subject to change without prior notice. The legal age to buy and consume alcohol in Singapore is 18 years old. Do practice responsible drinking!

Yes, this is the bar at Peranakan Place that serves free groundnuts and allows you to throw its shells on the floor without being fined (or judged)! Go for the drinks, but stay for the delectable bar bites. Be sure to give the shrimp-paste marinated chicken wings a try during your visit. Crispy, umami-packed, and served piping hot, I dare say that they are, perhaps, one of the best along Orchard Road.

10. Kanpai 789 / Yoasobi by Kanpai
Popular (or some might say, notorious) for its nightlife and a usual watering hole for many university students, the drinking and partying here never stops. Nestled in Robertson Walk, Kanpai 789 offers the best of both worlds by serving a perfect blend of Thai cuisine and craft beers.
From beer pints, whisky & bourbon, housepour spirits, wines, and even mokkiri sake (overpoured sake), they’ve got it all! Moral of the story is: to enjoy the cheapest drinks, start drinking early!
Meanwhile, fans of the former beloved Stickies bar (R.I.P.) will be pleased to find a similar happy hour pricing here, where the cost of alcoholic beverages corresponds according to the time on the clock. Basically at 4pm, the drinks go for $4, and so on. The same goes for its izakaya restaurant bar sister, Yoasobi by Kanpai, located in the heart of Telok Ayer.

At Levant Bar’s happy hour, be inspired by panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline without worrying about your drinks costing a fortune.
Their Wine O’ Clock specials feature their red and white wines of the month for only $10 while their Beer’y Nice promo offers your favourite draft beers (Heineken, Peroni, Tiger, and Corona) for $11 to $13 per pint. Lastly, their 1-for-1 Aperol Spritz deal saves you a pretty penny for only $25.

Choose from delightful options like Yuzu Collins, Moon River, Saffron Sour, and King Cole Old Fashioned as you soak in the bar’s hybrid of Western and Japanese influences.
Although less flashy or “happening” as the kids call it, this bar is the perfect cosy nook for those with a refined cocktail palate.
Happy hour time slots: 6pm to 8pm daily
Live Twice is at 20 Bukit Pasoh Road, Singapore 089834, tel: 65 9011 8304. Visit its website for more information.
13. Jigger & Pony
Though Jigger & Pony may win for the briefest happy hour on this list, that’s not the only award it’s won. This critically acclaimed bar has ranked #2 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars consistently for three years running, but what’s all the hype about exactly?
Well, during this 1.5-hour window, you can pick your poison from a selection of $18 cocktails like the Ruby Spritz, Yuzu Whiskey Sour, Negroni, or their monthly special. If those aren’t your cup of tea (or alcohol), may we suggest their wines from $14 per glass or beers at $12 per bottle instead? More details on their concoctions here.
Happy hour time slots: 6pm to 7.30pm daily
Jigger & Pony is at 165 Tanjong Pagar Road, Amara Hotel, Singapore 088539, tel: 65 9621 1074. Visit its website for more information.
