Planning your next family get-together? Whether it’s a birthday celebration, reunion dinner or year-end treat, a comforting spread of dim sum and plates of hearty Chinese fare always sets the tone for a memorable meal.

That’s exactly what regulars love about Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant – a long-time favourite dining spot in Marine Parade that’s been bringing families together since 2007.

Located on the second floor of Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy, Jia Wei is known for serving up modern Nanyang dishes that blend traditional recipes with fresh, contemporary touches. Among the classics are its signature creations such as the Jia Wei ocean gem vermicelli in Opeh leaf, crispy Iberico pork collar with sweet and sour hawthorn sauce, and chilled coconut pudding with ice cream.

With its latest menu refresh, both regulars and new diners can look forward to a line-up of classic flavours reimagined with a modern flair – all in a warm, relaxed setting perfect for family dining. Here’s what to expect.

Dim sum made fresh daily

For a leisurely family lunch, Jia Wei’s new dim sum creations are sure to dazzle. Each bite-sized piece is freshly handmade each morning and crafted to deliver the perfect balance of texture and flavour.

No dim sum meal feels complete without something sweet. End on a light, elegant note with the beautifully plated sweet dumpling black sesame & walnut dumpling (above, right), or the osmanthus-infused coconut jello (above, left) – both light, fragrant and made to please even the pickiest little diners at the table.

Dim sum dishes start from $8.80 each, and are only available for lunch.

New a la carte plates for sharing

Beyond dim sum, Jia Wei’s refreshed a la carte menu elevates humble ingredients into memorable sharing dishes.

Seafood lovers should try the pan-seared Hokkaido scallop with orange sauce and king oyster mushroom (above), a refreshing balance of sweetness and umami, or the wok fried cantonese style crab meat omelette served with romaine lettuce.

The poached shredded chicken with wanton noodles and bean sprouts (below) offers a lighter option for those who enjoy clean flavours.

To make family dining even more convenient, the restaurant also offers set lunch and dinner menus from $37++ onwards. The set lunch features five dishes, while the executive set lunch and set dinner offer six dishes.
