Sweet-Savoury 20-Min Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry
Not complete without a handful of veggies – we used broccolini and bean sprouts
The subtle, sweet and nutty flavour of sesame envelopes tender chicken breast fillet and bean thread vermicelli for a homely and satisfying meal.

Ingredients
- 350 g bean thread vermicelli
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 2 (400 g) chicken breast fillets, thinly sliced
- 1 (150 g) brown onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 300 g broccolini, coarsely chopped
- 2 tbsps fish sauce
- 1 tbsp hot chilli sauce
- 2 tbsps dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 fresh long red chilli, finely chopped
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup (80 g) bean sprouts
Steps
01. Place vermicelli in a medium heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water. Stand until just tender, drain.
02. Meanwhile, heat half the oil in wok and in batches, stir-fry chicken until browned. Remove from wok.
03. Heat remaining oil in wok and stir-fry brown onion, garlic and broccolini until onion softens.
04. Return chicken to wok with vermicelli, combined sauces, sesame seeds and half the chilli, half the green onion and half the sprouts. Stir-fry just until hot.
05. Serve stir-fry topped with remaining chilli, green onion and sprouts.
