With everything that has happened in 2020, we reckon that almost everyone is ready to welcome a fresh new start in 2021. As a continuation of the festive season that began with Christmas, it is only fitting that we end the year with a bang. Ahead, we've rounded up parties, events and restaurants in Singapore to celebrate New Year's Eve and count down to a brand new year.

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021

1/10

The annual fireworks display at Marina Bay is an event many of us look forward to each year. Unfortunately, due to the unique circumstances we are in, there won't be fireworks this year. Fireworks will instead happen at the heartlands instead (more details yet to be released). Marina Bay will still play hosts to the Shine A Light show with 60 light beams playing every 15-minute (between 8 to 11.45 pm on NYE) at The Promontory, symbolising unity, positivity and resilience.

Cable Car Sky Dining

2/10

For a truly unique experience, consider the Cable Car Sky Dining at the Singapore Cable Car. The course menu begins with a sparkling cocktail followed by a Chilled Capellini Pasta with trout caviar and baby abalone and Veloute of Cauliflower. The main course will be a choice between Tajima Wagyu Beef or Chargrilled Whole Lobster. Finally, dessert will be Ivory Passion & Raspberry Dome with Gianduja Sauce. There is also a vegetarian menu with Morel & Wild Mushroom Ragout as the main course too.

LeVel33

3/10

LeVel33 is the place to be for a celebratory dinner with an unobstructed view of Singapore's skyline. Perched atop the Marina Bay Financial Centre, LeVel33 has curated two set dinner menus for the special day - a four-course and six-course. Both packages comes with a glass of champagne or a Brut beer.

Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro

4/10

Another contender for dinner with a view, Arbora has curated a four-course botanical-inspired dinner menu for NYE. Start with an Arbora Rojak and Butternut Pumpkin soup before choosing a main course between Pan-Seared Australian Barramundi or Roasted Baby Lamb Rack. Finish the night with the Signature Chempedak Bread & Butter Pudding. If you're feeling fancy, you could add on the wine pairing to get a glass of Chardonnay and Merlot. Children are welcomed too - there is a three-course kids menu option.

Mr Stork

5/10

Fancy having dinner in a teepee on a rooftop bar 39 stories off the ground? By reservation only, Mr Stork has curated two New Year's Eve packages - Celebration and Dom Perignon. The first seating will be between 3 to 6 pm while the second will be between 7.30 to 10.30 pm. Tuck into dishes such as Hummus with Pita Bread, California Maki Rolls and Smoked Brisket Sandwich with Caramelised Onions before washing it down with a cocktail or wine in hand. To really end the year in a bang, go for the Dom Perignon package priced at $888 per person.

Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant

6/10

Over at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Wan Hao has curated an exquisite six-course menu to put a crowning finish to 2020. Dishes include Pan-Fried Boston Lobster with Caviar & Mustard Light Soya Sauce, Stewed Venison Ribs with Hawthorn and Crispy Sea Cucumber with Cordycep Flower & Seasonal Greens. Don't miss out on dessert either - Chocolate Lava Cake with Mixed Berries & Vanilla Ice Cream.

Edge

7/10

For those who don't like to be limited by the options of a course menu, a buffet is the way to celebrate. At Pan Pacific's Edge, you will be spoiled for choice as the selections range from Boston lobster and Brick Oven Roasted Herb Butter US Prime Beef Ribs to White Pepper Crab with Deep-fried Golden Buns and Black Forest Log Cake.

Super Loco

8/10

Titled Adios 2020!, Super Loco has pulled out all the stops for their countdown fiesta. The four-hour dinner session between 5 to 9 pm will begin with free-flow drinks such as margaritas, wines, beers and cocktails. Don't worry, there is food too. These include Baja Fish Taco starters, Carne Asada (charcoal-grilled Angus rib-eye steak) and Crispy Churros with a chocolate dip. There is also a kids menu too with options such as fish or chicken tacos and ham or chicken quesadilla.

Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar

9/10

Affordable indulgence is the keywords here at Ginnett. At $89++ for three to four pax, their Festive Meat Platter consists of Classic Beef Wellington, Turkey Roulade, Grilled Lobster Tail and Kurobuta Pork Tomahawk. Want more? These are served with duck fat potato wedges, brussels sprouts and chestnuts together with red wine sauce and a homemade cranberry sauce.

Cé La Vi

10/10

Come dressed in your best white outfits for Cé La Vi's White Hot countdown party. Starting from 4 pm to 1 am, enjoy dishes such as Binchōtan Wagyu Beef, Black Truffle Sushi Rice Risotto and Iberico Pork Char Siu Bao with a wide range of alcoholic beverages including wines, champagnes, beers and cocktails.
