Our round-up this week: Sushi Tei's new Spring-inspired menu, a new afternoon tea set with savoury bites from Conrad Singapore, a decadent new mao shan wang ice cream at Udders, and more.
Inspired by the picturessque sights of springtime in Japan, Sushi Tei has dreamt up a 'Blossoms of Joy Spring' menu with artfully plated dishes that shine the spotlight on camellia buri (farm-raised amberjack from Nagasaki) as well as Satsuma wagyu.
Highlights to order include Truffle Foie Gras Chawanmushi ($12.80), Sashimi Moriawase "Goto" 4 Kinds ($29.80) with salmon, sweet shrimp, swordfish and camellia buri sashimi (farm-raised amberjack from Nagasaki). There's also the Bara Chirashi Tower ($15.80) as well as the Satsuma Wagyu Steak Foie Gras ($33.80), which boasts wagyu from MizusakoFarm, one of the largest black cattle breeding farms in Japan.
End your meal on a sweet note with the Edamame Sweet Puff ($7.80) - a sweet-meets-savoury confection filled with luscious cream that has bits of edamame beans.

If savoury bites for afternoon tea are more your thing, you'll want to get cosy at Conrad Singapore's The Terrace. It has rolled out the new 'Beyond Afternoon Tea' set, which is loaded with a line-up of punchy, hearty delights.
Sink your teeth into the likes of crusty toast topped with Crab and Avocado, Signature Hot Garlic Chicken Wings, Homemade Mala Otah Stuffed in Crab Shell and Pulled Pork, Slowed Braised Onion Garlic Cream Cheese Sliders, and Smoked Duck Tartlet.
Wash it down with The Terrace’s Gin & Tonics ( $15++ ) or 1 for 1 Bubbles & Wines.
$39++ per person, available daily from 5pm to 9pm. Visit its website for more information or to make your reservation.
Durian lovers, there's an Emperor Mao flavour over at homegrown ice cream brand Udders, which it bills likely the strongest mao shan wang durian ice cream in the country. And apparently, over half the weight of each scoop comprises pure durian flesh, supplied by local mao shan wang specialist Royal Durian, for the ultimate indulgence.
You can either enjoy it at your nearest Udders store at $9.90 a scoop, or order it online from the Udders e-store at $10.90 a scoop. Additionally, you can get a limited edition Udders X Shopee mask set (worth $15 a set) when you purchase two scoops of Emperor Mao ice cream at Udders outlets, Shopee, Udders e-store, GrabFood, Deliveroo and Foodpanda.
Visit its website for more information and to order.
Nasi lemak chain Crave (a spin-off from the famous Selera Rasa nasi lemak) is best known for its rendition of the local classic, and now, it's added a Thai-inspired twist to its offerings with four new menu additions.
To start, there's the Nasi Lemak with Basil Chicken (from $7.50), as well as Nasi Lemak with Thai Green Chicken Curry (from $7.90), which is made with an array of herbs and spices like green chillies, lemongrass, belachan, kaffir lime and garlic for a savoury and sweet kick. There's also one with a Stewed Beef Curry (from $9.90), which sees fluffy rice served with beef cubes that have been stewed for hours in a concoction of curry, chilli powder, lemongrass, turmeric, ginger and more.
The Taste of Thailand menu is available in-store across all outlets and exclusively on Foodpanda for delivery from now till April 6, 2021. It will be available on various delivery platforms thereafter on 7th April 2021.

For now, there are four cocktails - Old-Fashioned, Negroni (slightly bitter and with a chocolate liqueur), an aromatic Espresso Martini, and Garden Party, which is made with wheat vodka, peach liqueur, lychee essence, and a touch of mint, vermouth and lime.
You can enjoy yours served chilled or straight over ice for a quick fix, or shaken and garnished for extra oomph.
