Caffeine is said to inhibit the enzyme that converts testosterone (found in both sexes) into a chemical that stops hair follicles from growing (i.e stopping hair growth and renewal). As with caffeine shampoos, leave it on for two minutes before rinsing it out to allow the compound to penetrate the scalp.
