The news is out, Rihanna is adding Fenty Skin to the mix. The tagline, “The New Culture of Skincare” fully encompasses what we can expect and of course, it’s on par with the legacy that Fenty Beauty has built for itself in the last three years.
This might not come as a shock for those who have followed along Fenty’s journey and read Rihanna’s interview with British Vogue in March. Fenty Beauty has stepped its toes into skincare with products like the Pro Kiss’r Luscious Lip Balm, Pro Kiss’r Lip-Loving Scrubstick, and Invisimatte Blotting Paper. But as Rihanna shared with British Vogue, “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide.”
When will Fenty Skin launch?
The brand will officially launch on July 31st exclusively on their website FentySkin.com If you sign up now with your email and phone number through their website, you can get early access on July 29th. You can follow along on @fentyskin and @badgalriri to get exclusive sneak peeks along the way.
Where can I buy Fenty Skin in Singapore?
Fenty Skin is launching exclusively on FentySkin.com first, but international shipping will be available from the get-go. It will be available in Sephora stores in Singapore (online and offline) in December 2020.
What products are available in the Fenty Skin launch?
Fenty Skin just announced a product reveal on the Fenty Skin Start’rs, the three essential steps in any skincare routine, “plus they’re clinically tested, clean, vegan, AND earth-conscious.” The Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser ($25 USD), Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum ($28 USD), Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen ($35 USD). These multitasking products will also be available for a bundle at $75 USD ($88 value).
Rihanna shares that Fenty Skin will never use more than one per cent of a synthetic fragrance, “And if we do, we don’t hide it, you will always know about it. We’re a clean brand, we’re a very honest brand, and we’re an upfront brand and we try to give you guys the best of everything.” The fragrance of Fenty Skin products will instead be warm and clean and “never perfumey”.
If Fenty Skin is anything like its counterparts Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, then we can assume this skincare line will be epochal. After all, Fenty Beauty debuted the makeup line with 40 shades of foundation and immediately changed the standards of the beauty industry; Savage X Fenty seamlessly and thoughtfully incorporated diversity and inclusion in its designs and representation. It’s safe to say, we can expect nothing less than that for Fenty Skin.
