Among all social media platforms, TikTok is the one-stop place for makeup hacks to go viral. It’s not unusual for three or more to emerge every month. Many content creators share their tips and tricks every day while others try them out for themselves. To be honest, TikTok has brought about a huge change in how the beauty community does their makeup.
With so many coming out, we decided to compile a list of the hottest makeup hacks taking TikTok by storm. From Selena Gomez’s mascara trick to mind-blowing ways to contour your face, keep reading to find out how you can up your makeup game.
If your lower lashes are almost non-existent, this mascara hack will change your life. Grab a pair of tweezers and pinch some product from the mascara brush. After, simply gently close the tweezer a few times on your lower lashes to combine them together. This will make your lashes stand out while also coating your lashes with the product.
This trick is particularly great for those who find it hard to use the mascara wand on the bottom lashes. Say goodbye to smudging under your bottom eyelids and accidental wand mishaps.

Graphic liners are slowly gaining traction. However, it can definitely be difficult to have both eyes look the same – especially when some of us struggle to keep a steady hand. So thank goodness there’s a hack for this as well. This eyeliner trick can save you lots of time and frustration.
With a small brush and some concealer, draw the shape you want on one eye. When you are done with that, get a plastic film and place it on your lid to transfer the design. Turn it over and trace over the design with more concealer. Press the film to your eye to achieve the desired placement. Lastly, draw over with a black or coloured liner. Voila!
If you prefer the concealer-as-eyeliner look, TikTok user CainsCrystalJewellery in the replies suggests setting it with white eyeshadow to help it stay longer.

Achieving a sculpted look is easier than you think. All you require is a contour shade, a concealer that’s a little lighter than your skin tone, and blush. The theory behind this is to apply everything higher than you normally would to give the effect of a facelift. The products are also applied to the outside of the face to bring attention away from the centre.
Make sure to blend everything upwards as well to ‘pull’ your makeup upwards.

We’ve all heard of colour correcting. Pink, in particular, helps to cancel out any purple or blue on the skin, making it perfect for covering the darkness of dark circles. However, this hack provides a little twist – instead of using a pink concealer, you mix a pink blush with your concealer to achieve the same effect.
Applying your blush all the way up to your under eyes is also another trending look; so don’t be afraid of mixing more blush with your concealer to give you a flushed look.

This makeup hack is fondly dubbed the ‘Rare Beauty blush hack’. However, all you really need is a liquid highlighter and blusher to recreate this glow-from-within blush.
Simply alternate between blush and highlighter dabs on the high points of your cheek and blend it all together. After you try this, you won’t want to go back to applying your blush and highlighter like normal.

When it comes to stick contours, many people simply apply it straight onto the face and blend it out after. However, if you want to have more control over how you sculpt your face, this method can be better for you.
All you have to do is apply the product to the back of your hand, spray your brush with some water, and pick up the product from your hand. Then, gently dap it onto the places where you’d like a bit more definition on the face.

There are a few steps to this one, but if you want a sharp jawline, this can help you give the illusion of one. The steps are as follows:
- Apply your contour under your jaw and right above
- Blend it out
- Place powder just a tad bit above where you placed the contour shades
- Blend it out
- Voila!
We don’t know about you, but this is a hack that we are absolutely in love it. Just remember to bring your makeup remover down to your neck when removing your makeup.
