It’s been almost a decade, so we are more than excited for the return of Gilmore Girls (yes, with the original cast!). Come November 25, catch up with your favourite mother-daughter duo when they reunite in Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, that will launch exclusively on Netflix.

Expect four 90-minute mini movies, with Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reprising their roles as the quick-witted pair, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, respectively. They will also be joined with other original cast members and some new ones as well.

While we eagerly anticipate the return of this much-beloved series, here are nine more shows we miss from the late 90s to 2000s:
Picking up nine years after the last episode in 2007, we now find our leading ladies at a major crossroad: Lorelai and Luke’s relationship has come to a standstill, Rory’s dream of becoming a journalist in New York still hasn’t been realised and Emily (Lorelai’s mother) has just lost her beloved husband, Richard.
We can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Who can forget one of the most defining teen soap dramas of the 2000s? The show ended after four seasons citing low ratings, although there was an online petition of over 700,000 signatures in protest of the cancellation. Well, at least we got a (unauthorised) musical out of it!
Started: 1996
Ended: 2006
This supernatural drama series achieved a cult-like following. It features a trio of sisters Piper (Holly Marie Combs, left), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano, centre) and Prue (Shannen Doherty, not pictured) who discover that they’re actually the most powerful witches on earth. Escapist fantasy at its finest!
Started: 2004
Ended: 22 May 2007
This compelling noir detective drama was cancelled too soon (only three seasons!) but Veronica Mars was funny and smart, just like its namesake female lead played by Kristen Bell.
Started: 1998
Ended: 22 February 2004
Despite having two movies and a spin-off, there was nothing like a weekly instalment of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her dynamic gal pals lighting up our screens with dazzling wardrobes, upscale brunches and the fabulous NYC life.
Started: 1997
Ended: 20 May 2003
As far as strong female leads go, Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) tackled high school while slaying vampires on the side. Enough said.
Started: 2005
Ended: 16 May 2013
Dunder Mifflin was never quite the same after Michael Scott (Steve Carell) left at the end of Season 7, but we sure miss the crazy office antics Jim, Dwight and the rest of the motley crew got up to. There’s just something about office politics that is so relatable…
Started: 1998
Ended: 1999
Unless you were living under a rock, this Chinese period drama was everywhere and is considered the most watched Chinese-language series in history. The series had everything – drama, romance, plot twists, and a lovable lead. It also skyrocketed its three main actresses (Vicky Zhao, Ruby Lin and Fan Bing Bing) to fame, and they’re still good friends as seen from Fan Bing Bing’s recent instagram post when they reunited at Ruby’s wedding.

It was a TV hit as soon as it debuted over ten years ago, and we were all glued to our screens wondering how cleverly-tattooed Michael Scofield was going to break his brother out of maximum security. While some say the show lost steam after a few seasons (because how many times can one break out of jail successfully?), we do miss the drama and intensity of the show.
Good news, folks! After nearly eight years, FOX is set to launch season 5 next year, bringing back your favourite Scofield brothers for more nail-biting drama. See the official trailer below:
Ended: 6 May 2004
No TV comeback wishlist would be complete without this timeless sitcom. There has been no word on an official reunion, despite repeated speculations and rumours, but ardent fans won’t give up hoping.
