If you’ve stepped into an Aesop store recently, you would have noticed a new product on its shelves – the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum. Priced at $110, we were curious to find out how this intense serum differed from the all-time Aesop classic, the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum.
We turned to Samy Hamada, head of research and development at Aesop to find our answers. Turns out, the new intense Parsley Seed serum came from the brand’s research on urban living, city pollution, and their adverse effects on the skin (who knew city living was the cause of our constant skin troubles?).
Essentially, this new intense serum was Aesop’s response to the increasingly damaging city lifestyle. “With increased awareness of the influence of our environment and how this may affect the skin, we saw an opportunity to build in additional layers of efficacy to support and complement the key anti-oxidant benefits that are a central part of the Parsley Seed Skin Care range,” says Hamada.
The unique feature of this intense serum? It lines your skin with a “lightweight breathable film”, basically a barrier to block out all those pollution particles that are drifting in the city air. But really, is this intense serum suitable for Singaporean skin? We find out from Hamada.
