The straw that broke the camel’s back seems to have happened at a gathering about a month ago, when Lingling allegedly made some comments about Calvert’s personal life, which upset Hong.

When the daily reached out to Huifang, she confirmed sending the message and replied with a Chinese saying which suggested that the ill feelings between the two actresses had been brewing for some time.

The publication also reached out to Lingling, who replied in Chinese: “Let time water down everything.”

Neither actress could be reached for comment. When The Straits Times contacted former Mediacorp actor Huang Shinan, who is married to Lingling, he said he did not know what the disagreement was and added: “They were both at a birthday gathering last month.”

The two actresses have known each other for more than 20 years and have worked together as early as 1988 in the drama The Golden Quest.

Both are currently in the drama Reach For The Skies, which is showing on Channel 8.

Brad started out as Zoe’s assistant and protege on her show, The Rachel Zoe Project. 

After a few years of working together, Brad decided he wanted to leave the show and lead a more low-key lifestyle instead. However, a few weeks after leaving, Brad started to market himself as a stylist and started to seek out his own clients — which made Rachel feel like she had been lied to. 

Back in the 90s, these two blossoming actresses were the absolute best of friends.

However, Winona allegedly tried to steal a role meant for Gwyneth. So, when Winona’s embarrassing run in with the law was publicised, Gwyneth took to her blog to throw her some shade. 

“Back in the day, I had a ‘frenemy’ who, as it turned out, was pretty hellbent on taking me down. I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and happiness.”

Perhaps one of the oldest reality TV feuds ever, Heidi and Lauren’s fights were made public thanks to their show, The Hills. 

Heidi started dating former co-star (now husband), Spencer Pratt and Spencer had started a rumour about Lauren and the allegedly sex tape she had. Lauren vehemently denied that the sex tape existed but Heidi and Spencer kept speaking about. Eventually, the duo stopped being friends. 

Till this day, Lauren and Heidi are not friends. 

You might know Blac Chyna as the ex-girlfriend of both Tyga and Rob Kardashian but did you know? Kim Kardashian was friends with her even before she dated them. 

Chyna and Tyga (who were in a relationship before Tyga dated Kim’s sister, Kylie), even attended Kim’s wedding in Italy. However, things soon fizzled out when Kylie started dating Tyga and Kim had to defend her sister when Chyna kept gossiping about her. 

Needless to say, with all the drama that surrounded Chyna and Kim’s brother, Rob, Kim is no longer involved in Chyna’s life… even though she is the aunt to her former best friend’s daughter, Dream. 

They may not have been best friends but the two did know each other and hung out a lot out of the limelight. 

However, when Selena dated Bella’s ex, The Weeknd, Bella unfollowed Selena from Instagram and the two have not spoken since.

The Weeknd and Selena have since broken up and the Weeknd has even dedicated an entire album speaking about this part of his life where he was involved with the two of them at some point. 

Both Christina and Britney were part of the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day but have since grew apart as they matured. 

Their feud was partly due to media attention as well, with the Guardian newspaper saying in 1999 that the two divas were constantly competing for media attention and album sales. 

The duo publicly performed with Madonna but Christina went on to speak about Britney’s poor work ethic. 

Julie Tan and Carrie Wong were a bubbly match made in heaven when they both scored a spot in the “Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes” category in the annual Star Awards in 2015. They even made a pact to take home the “All-Time Favourite Artiste” award.

Things quickly went sour after Carrie commented in an interview that she’s “just not close to” Julie when she was asked whether she would want to follow Julie’s footsteps and leave Mediacorp for greener pastures overseas. The two stars have since unfollowed each other on social media.

Though the Taiwanese stars have been friends since 2002, they have reportedly gone their separate ways. Since 2017, rumours of Elva Hsiao and Cheryl Yang having a fall out started surfacing on the net after Cheryl signed with Elva’s former management agency even though the latter had a fall out with them.

Cheryl has since stepped out to address the speculation publicly and said that there have been changes in their respective directions and how they live. She also added that having a friendship that spans over decades isn’t easy and nobody would want to destroy it without a good reason. Cheryl also shared that she has quit drinking while Elva still enjoys drinking, which factored in the pair not spending as much time together.

Christine Fan and Angela Chang were two peas in a pod until the pair allegedly fell out due to competition for resources from their former recording label, Linfair Records, which was not resolved even after Angela left the label in 2009.

It seems the former BFFs have yet to bury the hatchet. When they shared the stage on the Chinese reality singing show “Mask Singer China 2” earlier this year, netizens noticed that the pair did not even bat an eyelid at each other.

The two singers were bosom buddies for a long time. They even hosted the Taiwanese variety show “100% Entertainment” together. Unfortunately, an incident that happened on the set of “100 % Entertainment” caused a rift in their friendship.

Alien allegedly had a conversation with a friend in which he called Show’s fans shallow, which was overheard by the latter. They later addressed the issue on the programme but Alien’s management dismissed the rumours as them trying to entertain their viewers rather than them having an actual argument over the matter.

The local bloggers adored each other in the beginning. Sadly, all of those warm and fuzzy feelings had dissolved by 2016, when Xiaxue said of Qiu Qiu in an interview with local media, “The relationship was starting to show cracks because of work issues [since years ago].”

She added, “QiuQiu started to distance herself. I tried my hardest to bring the friendship to where it was but it just never really worked out.” That said, the blogger maintained that she doesn’t regret the friendship, “When I look back on it, it was a beautiful friendship and I enjoyed a lot of my time with them. Sometimes, things just end.”
