Love (and drama) is once again in the air over at the deserted island that is Inferno. The second season of Netflix’s South Korean reality dating show Single’s Inferno has just made its debut with a cast of twelve (so far, including the two latest newcomers) young, single, and undeniably attractive South Koreans who are ready to mingle.
They’re left stranded on an island to find that special one, and it’s only when they hit it up with another singleton can they then head to Paradise (basically a luxury hotel), so they can get to know one another better.

She comes across as quiet, but shared that people find her easygoing and surprisingly fun after getting to know her. She also revealed that she hasn’t dated anyone in a long time, and went on the show to get to meet new people. What’s her type? Nice guys with friendly personalities and who are considerate.
The 25-year-old is still studying and is a senior majoring in piano at the Seoul National University College of Music. She started playing the instrument when she was 10 years old, though she confesses to a love-hate relationship with it.
Choi Seo-eun appears cheerful and easy to talk to. “I think my biggest strength is being natural. No matter who I talk to, I’m able to create a relaxed vibe,” she shared on the show.
The 27-year-old, who was also crowned Miss Korea in 2021, is an artist who graduated from Pratt Institute’s School of Art, in Brooklyn, New York, where she majored in fine arts (you can check out her works on Instagram). There’s an athletic side to her, too. Her interests include paddle boarding and meditating on the Han River in the summer.
With his boyish charm and athletic build, one might easily think that the 32-year-old is a model or physical trainer. But Jo Yoong-jae’s in fact a stockbroker in a securities firm who “spends a lot of time in suits”.
“Many people think I’m an athlete when they first see me, probably because I have a big build,” he explained. Because he thinks that being fit is important, he regularly does CrossFit and goes hiking. He also let on that according to his college’s online community, he had the “nicest broad shoulders”.
He added, “Something important that attracts me is wisdom.”
The 22-year-old is a neuroscience undergrad at New York’s Harvard University and lives in Boston, so it was unsurprising to hear her switching effortlessly between English and Korean.
She introduced herself as having a cold and honest personality but also explained that she’s heard that she sounds “a little bit more stern and straightforward and professional when she speaks in English, and a bit cuter when she converses in Korean.”
The outdoor-loving girl is sporty too, with hobbies such as lacrosse and soccer. Fun fact: Single’s Inferno isn’t Nadine’s only claim to fame. She also went viral for a YouTube video on her acceptance into Harvard, Princeton and Yale. In 2018, she was also interviewed by The New York Times about a lawsuit challenging Harvard’s admission process.
During his introduction, he admitted that he hasn’t dated anyone that he’s seriously liked, and hoped to find that special someone on the show. He also let on that he had his fortune told and a monk said that if he came on this show, he might end up marrying someone so he wanted to see where this would lead.
He’s also into sports and plays soccer as a hobby, which brings on his competitive nature. On what makes him attractive, he cited his empathy, sensitivity, and his smile.
The plastic surgeon revealed that he found his passion in the medical industry from his father who was also a doctor. On the side, he’s a fitness enthusiast who hits the gym and lifts weights almost everyday, as well as plays basketball.
While his friends tell him he lives life to the fullest, the 32-year-old described himself as having a calm personality and prefers someone who’s energetic and healthy.
H reportedly attended the the University of California in Los Angeles, and is fluent in both Korean and English. This year, he was crowned Mister Global Korea 2022.
Park Se-jeong definitely grabbed attention with her confidence when the cast was introduced. “What’s attractive about me are my eyes and my hot body, and my surprisingly playful side”, she said.
She does weight training three to four times a week, and also tennis twice a week. She shared, “I’m quite confident about my body because I keep in shape by working out”, and added that she was looking to find someone as “hot as her”.
Looks and physique aside, she’s also on the lookout for someone who is kind, and who will take good care of her.
The 25-year-old is a model by profession and is signed under modelling agency K-Plus.
If you think Kim Han-bin looks familiar, it might be because he bears a striking resemblance to popular South Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk.
He has a bright sunny disposition, being the first to break the initial awkwardness of the group. “My personality is in one word — positive.”
The 24-year-old’s also a talented award-winning chef, who snagged the grand prize at the Korean International Cooking Competition in 2018. He’s also certified in food safety management by the US National Restaurant Association.
He enjoys rock climbing as well, and reveals that he’s attracted to people with intense eyes and who don’t avoid eye contact, as well as someone who’s also positive.
Lee So-e comes across as more soft-spoken and more reserved. “I think have a calm personality and I’m quite honest. People say I can be clumsy sometimes,” she laughed.
She revealed that she’s into guys who are tall with strong features, as well as someone who’s generous and reliable.
While she has yet to reveal her profession, a little Internet sleuthing shows that she could be an actor. She starred in an episode of the K-drama The First Responders, and according to MyDramalist, she also took on the main role in the independent short film Abba Father (2019).
A newcomer on episode four, the 28-year-old got many of the ladies’ attention with his confidence and nonchalant demeanor.
He described himself as being shy at first but is someone you can have fun with once you get to know him. He also likes motorcycles and enjoys going out riding.
Later on, it’s revealed that he was once part of the Republic of Korea Navy Special Warfare Flotilla unit. These days, he’s a YouTube content creator who goes by the name Dex or Dex Archive and is also a part of the broadcasting production company Kthd Studio.
From his Instagram page, it’s not the first time he’s been on TV. He’s also taken part in a couple of South Korean variety shows, too.
He’s one of the latest surprise additions to the show (episode six), showing up in a suit that nods to his profession — a tailor at Ascottage, a bespoke tailoring brand from Seoul. Coincidentally (or not), Jin-taek from season one is the co-founder of the clothing label.
In his introduction, he mentioned that what makes him attractive is his kindness, and his way of making others feel comfortable. He’s also an avid tennis player, and would like to meet someone with a cute and bubbly personality.
Also a newcomer is Lim Min-su. She desribed her personality as kind of like an “an iron fist in a velvet glove”, adding that she might seem to have a soft personality but is strong inside. She also doesn’t hesitate about going for the person she likes.
Min-su also competed in the Miss Korea competition in 2020. According to a Reddit thread, she is said to be 26 years old and a student at Duksung Women’s University under the Department of Oriental Studies.
