Our little red dot might be small, but it’s never short on fun family-friendly things to do. What’s up this week?
For staycation-lovers, Pan Pacific Singapore has introduced jungle-themed suites and a play area that’ll cater to young adventurers. Speaking of the wild, animal lovers can also check out the new AR-mazing Tiger Trail around the island, or get up close to an Indian rhino with Night Safari’s new feeding programme.
Plus, learn about Singapore’s heritage with educational tours at the Singapore Discovery Centre, Asian Civilisations Museum and more.
Hop on a wild escapade with the kids at Pan Pacific Singapore. The hotel has teamed up with indoor playground Kiztopia to unveil two 76 sq m Urban Jungle Suites that feature a separate main bedroom for parents, and a jungle-themed room for the kiddos – think an inflatable rocking hippo, a teepee and a treehouse bunk bed that sleeps two children. Plus, each suite is located on a higher floor of the hotel to afford views of the cityscape.
You’ll also get tickets for three hours’ access to Kiztopia, an Urban Jungle Survival Pack, and kids’ bath toys for a fun soak in the tub, as well as daily breakfast and access to the exclusive Pacific Club lounge for all-day refreshments and afternoon tea.
That’s not all. There’s also a new children’s play area, the Urban Jungle Village, where young ones can go wild with animal-themed slides, a treehouse above a virtual pond, a safari trail, teepees, a Forest library and even a ‘Cave Climber’ to hone their strength, balance and motor skills.
From $820++ per night for two adults and two children. Opening hours for the Urban Jungle Village are from 10am to 6pm daily, for children staying in the hotel, and parent supervision is required. Visit Pan Pacific Singapore’s website for more information.
Got animal lovers in the family? For the first time ever, visitors to the Night Safari can get up close to and feed Newari, one of the two Indian rhinos that arrived on our shores last April from Al Bustan Zoological Centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The new feeding programme is now open for online public booking, and you can visit the Indian rhino habitat next to Night Safari’s East Lodge at 7.30pm on operating nights to participate in the feeding for a contribution of $10. All contributions from feeding sessions will go into supporting conservation projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The experience is also available for those who sign up for Night Safari’s exclusive behind-the-scenes tour programme, Safari Adventure Tour.
Slots are limited and have to be booked online. Book your slots in advance here. Night Safari is at 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826.

Of the 100,000 wild tigers that used to roam freely on the planet, it’s estimated that only 3,900 of these magnificent creatures now remain in the wild. In a bid to raise awareness for tiger conservation, The World Wide Fund for Nature Singapore (WWF- Singapore) has brought together a collective of over 60 global and local artists to create 33 life-sized tiger art sculptures and other unique tiger-inspired pieces.
From this Feb 26 (Sat) till April 9, 2022, you can take the kids on an island-wide trail to (metaphorically) hunt down these tigers across our little red dot at iconic landmarks. Venues include the Asian Civilisations Museum, Causeway Point, Gardens by the Bay, Jewel Changi Airport, Katong Square, Millenia Walk, National Gallery Singapore, Night Safari, One Kampong Gelam, and Sentosa.
On Feb 26 itself, you can also join the official launch, which will see an exciting lineup of activities that include art workshops, live performances, and even a mini trail within Gardens by the Bay. Click here to register.
More information will be unveiled on its website. Visit for further updates.
