It’s no secret that social media influencers make their money from brand partnerships. So what if we told you, you don’t have to have tens of thousands of followers to cash in on the snaps you share on Instagram or Facebook? In fact, all you need is to have amassed an audience of 200 followers on your social media account to be eligible, thanks to Singapore start-up Partipost.
Want to find out more? Here’s why we think you should consider jumping in.
Being a mother is already a full-time job, so a side hustle might seem like out of the question. But in these challenging times, whether you’re a working or stay-at-home mum, it’s always nice to have a little more cash for rainy days or to take the kids out on a fab staycation.
If you’ve always enjoyed sharing reviews of great products or get snap-happy at restaurants, you can now do it and have an extra revenue stream, too.
Launched in 2018, this mobile app bridges regular folks with various brands to land paid campaigns by sharing our favourite products and services with our loved ones. Your payout then accumulates with the increase of the engagement of your post aka its likes and shares.
As of now, it has over 200,000 influencers and has partnered with more than 850 brands (including Adidas, Arnott’s, Kellogg’s, Red Bull, Chope, and Gojek) to run over 2,500 campaigns across the categories of food and beverage, fashion, technology, beauty and more.
With hundreds of brands and campaigns, you’ll likely find one that’s up your alley, and even discover gems from other users. You’ll want to choose a campaign that you like, too. If you count on authentic recommendations from your favourite influencer, your own followers will, too.
Sending your kids for a tuition trial? Share your pictures and review on Instagram. Even a grocery run could be a means of adding to your income stream. If you’ve got a favourite brand of nuggets or are keen on trying out a new ice cream flavour, add these to your grocery cart, and give them a shoutout or review on your social media platforms to get rewarded.
That’s not including the foodie pictures you take while dining out with family and friends, too. Especially now that Christmas is just around the corner, you can get your festive shopping sorted while giving you more opportunities to earn extra money.
CEO and co-founder Jonathan Eg tells us, “The vision of Partipost is to enable everyone to have genuine voices that can influence the world. We believe that in the next five to ten years, this type of marketing will be considered mainstream and almost everyone will be taking part in becoming an influencer that promotes things that they genuinely and truly are passionate about.”
We’ll be real and say you likely won’t get rich with the app but it’ll give you a nice little side income. The average user can earn anything from $2 to over $100 for approved content. And according to Partipost, the highest amount a single user has bagged is $14,600 over 300 campaigns throughout a period of slightly under three years.
Once your post has been given the green light by the brand, you can share it on social media and wait for your earnings to roll in. To cash them out, all it takes is a quick tap once you’ve added your bank account details.
Marketing jargon, traditional briefs, and industry lingo? Not everyone understands these and the founders of Partipost totally get it, with no marketing background prior to starting the app themselves. Thus, the briefs are made as simple as possible for laymen to understand. You’ll also find resources for making your pictures even more Instagram-worthy to amp up those shares and likes, which will up your rewards.
“For sure, a lot of our users are not influencers by profession, so they might have difficulty following a traditional brief and translating what’s on the brief into their content. On our end, we try to make the brief as easy to understand as possible and we’re also constantly pushing out education to help these users out by sharing resources with them on how they can improve their content,” shares Jonathan.
You’ll first have to download the app, which is available for Android and iOS users. Get yourself registered and fill out details about your social media account, then head to the Campaigns page.
Here, you can leaf through a list of available campaigns and choose the best one for you. Once that’s done, you’ll be directed to a page that informs you of the nitty-gritty details, from the aim and requirements of the campaign to the payout you’ll get once it’s successfully completed, terms and conditions, as well as the deadline.
