It’s only been a little more than a month after Mother’s Day, and now Father’s Day is rapidly approaching – making us scramble around, yet again, for gift ideas and restaurant deals.
And although Phase 2 measures have kicked in – which means we’re now allowed to dine in restaurants and eateries in groups of five – some of us may want to skip the crowds and enjoy a more intimate celebration at home instead. Thankfully, restaurants have rolled out exciting deals and offers for both takeaway and delivery. Here are 18 delicious options, from nostalgic local dishes to exquisite European cuisine for a memorable meal:
Swee Choon has become a household name of sorts if you’re looking for a go-to dimsum spot, all thanks to its affordability, authenticity and appetising qualities. In what could be the best foodie surprise of the year though, they are joining hands with 1 Michelin star restaurant Nouri to put a unique twist to the Cantonese classics you know by heart this Father’s Day.
The limited edition set ($38) comprises three Har Kows with Nouri’s Tahitian Vanilla Black Pepper Sauce, two Baos with Sweetcorn and Jalapeno Chutney, Manjimup Black Truffles and two extra crispy Mee Suah Kueh with Chilli and Sweet Potato Mayo. Considering Swee Choon’s long history of high-quality dimsum, accompanied by how Nouri was listed as one of Asia’s top 50 restaurants, we only have high hopes for what this extravagant set could offer. Dad would be pleased!
Available from 19 to 21 June with limited sets daily for takeaway and delivery.
