For a value-for-money spread, it’s hard to beat Cold Storage’s Christmas catalogue. It has three Christmas packages this year, starting from $89.95 for eight to 10 persons, including a halal option. Choose from a classic turkey and cheese platter set, or an indulgent Spanish Iberico ham, sausage and jumbo ribs platter. The halal package has roasted chicken, turkey ham, ribeye roast beef and chicken sausages.

Halal-certified bakery chain Delifrance has put together a rather indulgent line-up to celebrate the joyful season. There’s a classic Rosemary Cranberry Turkey as well as Citrus Herb Chicken, as well as past favourites Chicken Ham Ball, and Stuffed Chicken Meat Loaf.
Of course, Delifrance’s pastries and confectioneries shouldn’t be missed — think French Apple Pie, Chocolate Mousse Pie, and Florentine Crisps. For log cakes, you have a choice of the ever-popular Joy of Delifrance, a Valrhona chocolate log cake, or Mango Passion, with white chocolate mousse and mango-passion cream.
Bundles for five and 10 pax are available for home or office celebrations. Go with the Grandeur Festive Table ($265), which has turkey, chicken lasagna, pizza and the chocolate log cake for a bigger gathering. Or for a cosier celebration of three to five people, get the Splendor Chicken Spread ($128) with chicken, potato gratin and the mango-passion log cake.
Taking inspiration from Asian delights, Goodwood Park Hotel has put an Asian spin on its Yuletide takeaway offerings this year; it’s got interesting renditions of Christmas must-haves like ‘Har Cheong’ Turkey ($118 for eight pieces), Crispy Char Siew Turkey, and the hotel’s signature D24 Durian Puffs.
Or if traditional flavours are more your cup of tea, there’s the Traditional Christmas Turkey (from $203.74), slow-roasted Ibérico pork belly ($343.93 for six to eight pax) and mini turkey shepherd’s pie ($38 for six).
