As one of the major direct importers of lobsters and other crustaceans in Singapore, Orchid Live Seafood steals the spotlight with the South Australian Samishi Lobster Yu Sheng ($388), a premium delicacy featuring a fresh lobster that’s prized for its sweet, firm flesh. It typically fetches a higher market price, and it’s served raw, at sashimi grade.
For an equally indulgent celebration, opt for their Boston Lobster Yu Sheng ($88), which is crowned with generous slices of lobster that’s delicately poached and seasoned to bring out its natural sweetness. Unlike the South Australian Samishi lobster, this lobster is served cooked, hence, the texture is softer and more tender.
If you prefer something more classic, the Abalone Yu Sheng ($68) comes topped with two-head abalones for a “guaranteed” head start to the year’s abundance. All are available for both dine-in and takeaway, so you can enjoy these festive delights no matter where you are.
