Ever wondered how the iconic chilli crab would taste in a xiao long bao format? If you’ve missed previous offers, now is the time to head back to Din Tai Fung to satisfy that curiosity. The soup dumpling is stuffed with a combination of pork and crab meat infused with chilli crab-based broth. The best part: each Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao is 40 percent bigger than the regular version.

To celebrate Singapore’s 58th birthday, Goodwood Park Hotel has created a special menu in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore.
To celebrate the Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s – 2000s special exhibition, the Coffee Lounge has created the exclusive NMS X GWPH: Now Boarding Tea Set. Inspired by restaurant and hawker fare from the 1950s to the 2000s, dishes include Mulligatawny Soup, Chicken Satay, Kueh Pie Tee topped with Mini Whole Abalone and Pandan Coconut Cream Puff.

Want to catch the fireworks on National Day over a good meal? LeVel33 has curated a one-evening party on August 9 between 5 pm to 9 pm.
The restaurant will be transformed into a multi-zoned dining space where unlimited servings of local-inspired food such as Rendang Slider, Beer Brined Charcoal Grilled Soy Chicken Wing and Ice Cream Sandwich with Local-inspired Flavours are served. Once you’ve got your food sorted, wash it all down with a Singapore Sling or craft brews from the microbrewery.
Tickets are priced at $268++ per person aged above 18, $120++ for teens between 12 to 17 and $40++ for children below 12. Reservations can be made here.
If brunch is more your style, then Opus Bar & Grill has created a menu featuring playful twists of iconic local dishes.
Think of items such as Hainanese Chicken Rice Roll, Satay Bee Hoon Noodles, Seafood Laksa Shakshuka, Chicken Satay Pizza and Slow-Roasted Biryani-Spiced Australian Prime Ribs. For traditionalists, there are Rojak Fruit Salad, Ayam Masak Merah, Nasi Goreng, Char Kway Teow and more. As for desserts, options include Rainbow Lapis, Pandan Chiffon Cake and National Day-themed Nyonya Kueh.

The smorgasbord of dishes likely includes every local favourite you can think of. The menu consists of sweet and savoury options. The former has Kueh Salat Petite Cupcake, Gula Melaka Mousse Cake, Panna Cotta with Raspberry Coulis, Pandan Cream Puff and Plain & Raisin Buttermilk Scone. The latter has Beetroot Rojak Shooter, Hainanese Chicken Quinoa, Coconut Cake with Sambal Prawn Mayo, Chicken Cranberry Sandwich and Truffle Egg Mayo Sandwich. Durian lovers, this is your time to shine. Peppermint at Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay has introduced its Go Lokal buffet menu.
The highlight is the dinner services happening on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — there will be a durian buffet held outdoors where you can tuck into unlimited servings of Musang King, Red Prawn (D13) and D24 durians. This is accompanied by a slew of local delights from Chicken Bak Kut Teh, BBQ Chicken Wings, Herbal Roasted Duck, Durian Pengat and more.

American-style burger restaurant and bar 25 Degrees is also joining in the fun by introducing local flavours into their menu.
First up is the National Day Burger that riffs off Chilli Crab. Crispy tempura soft shell crab is doused with homemade chilli crab sauce before being encased in either a roasted or steamed mantou bun. Then, slurp up the kaya toast-inspired smoothie milkshake, which is made with vanilla ice cream, matcha powder, pandan syrup, kaya jam and garnished with toast chunks.

Rempapa wants you to celebrate National Day with your elderly parents as they offer two limited edition snacks and a 20 percent discount on dining for Pioneer and Merdeka generation cardholders.
The two snacks are Epok Epok Sayur ($8 for three) and Roti John ($10). Epok Epok Sayur features a homemade shortcrust pastry shell stuffed with lightly sauteed vegetables, tau kwa and dried shrimp served alongside chilli cuka. Roti John is a grilled bun stuffed with Masala Spiced Chicken served with chilli and tomato sauce.
