Speaking of reinvention, we spent some time looking for someone who embodied the idea of changing up her act, and we came down to Denise Keller. Her chameleonic ability to parlay from modelling to being one of the biggest local names on TV is no small feat, and yet she makes it look so easy. With an affable charm, she recently marked a milestone in her third act with her production company – Keller Media – celebrating 10 years of producing and presenting travel shows. Oh, and did we mention that she also teaches yoga? She wears many hats, and does it all with style. We catch up with Denise in between her busy schedule to see what she’s up to.

What she’s busy with
“I’ve just wrapped up producing and presenting a travel web series for Dream Cruises. It’s been an exciting project to be involved in. I have travelled all over the world as a travel presenter, but I’ve never filmed a travel series at sea for a whole month! The most amazing part of filming this series is watching the incredible sunsets from your balcony room almost every other day. It was very sad to disembark as we had bonded so much with the crew and staff of the Genting Dream – they really made the experience so much more fulfilling. TripAdvisor recently launched their social platform and I am happy to be a part of this journey. For me, this is the most exciting social media platform out there, because travel is a big part of my life. Engaging on travel topics and stories resonates with me so much more.”
A day in her life
“A regular day at work consists of either teaching yoga in the morning and/or heading straight to the office to work on different projects. Most of the work that I do is very much the same: Producing short travel programs, live event hosting gigs, or teaching yoga workshops & retreats (if time permits).”
Her personal style
“It has evolved over the years. Admittedly, I used to chase style trends, go crazy over my favourite designers and browse every fashion magazine I could get my hands on in my 20s. I loved styling myself even when I had no idea what I was doing. It was a means to express my personality during my MTV-hosting days, and especially for red carpet events. I guess you can say that I’ve significantly toned down this expression in my 30s, once I started travel presenting. I appreciate classics and more functional pieces for work now. I never knew I would say this, but I’m becoming more and more of a minimalist.”
An item she can’t live without
“I can’t live without my skincare products from Sisley. I absolutely adore everything they have; from the skincare to body care range to sun care.”
Her resolution for 2019
“Trying to live as a minimalist tends to put things into perspective and it has made me realise how fortunate I am to have the things I have. Having gratitude for what we have certainly creates more happiness and contentment. This year will be about decluttering the mind, lightening the loads, creating and studying more about the things I’ve always wanted to enrich myself in.”
